How does the Steam system work with cards and gems?
Hi, on Steam, you can get cards for voting because of the Steam Awards. I don't quite understand these cards… It says something about "converting them into gems" or something, and then you can convert them into booster packs. Somewhere else it says you can sell them for a few cents in Steam credit… Can someone please explain this to me? So, how do I get these cards? What are these gems? What are booster packs? How do I do all this? 😀 Please, not a link to a YouTube video or something. A written description is best. Thanks in advance! 🙂

The gems have fallen so rapidly, with which imo can no longer be done.
Previously, things that did not bring enough to the market have been thrown into gemstones and bought with these booster packs to unpack them, hoping for a lustre card to sell them. I’ve done this a while with the game Amnesia, because I got more often a gloss card that was worth 1.24€. With the decline in value from the precious stone sacks, these packs and maps also fell in value so that it is no longer worth splicing its time in such a thing.
All that brings 3 cents in the market (3 cents corresponds to 5 cents in the sale) is also better sold there than hurried.
Balance doesn’t fall in value what you have.
If you don’t want the Wintertags 2020 badge, then there are cheaper sets that you can use for profile extension.

You can also upgrade your account with the maps and unlock more features.
You can also sell the cards in the community market (do not bring much ).
You can convert them into gems and then sell the gems or make them from the gems boosterpacks where 3 new cards are in it. But it’s only with games you have on your account. 🙈
Okee got understood but how do you mean “don’t bring much” at 10 cards are always 50 cent or so
Ne the Sale cards usually go around the 3 cents and that’s so many, even you’re there. Steam also retains money, which generally does not recommend it. Then make precious gems, the bag with 1000 pieces usually goes away for 35 cents or booster packs with rare cards, which also go away better. 😅
