How does the airline know this?

I'm flying from Frankfurt to Helsinki in about three weeks and the travel information on my online ticket includes the type of aircraft. In my case, both are A321neos. How does Lufthansa know that this is the exact model they're using?

Thanks for any answer, I'm really interested in this 🙂

It would be bad if Lufthansa didn’t know what planes they planned for which flights…

It has to be planned for a long time in advance, which type of aircraft you use for which flight route or which circulation. This must be known at the beginning of the ticket sale, because where do you want to know if you can sell 180 or 220 tickets?

They need to know what aircraft they use, how much seats it has and what equipment it has, because the flights are planned long before and the tickets can be booked.

I don’t understand your question.

They’re probably their machines, so you know.

Seriously, who serves the route, who decides which type is used, the airline
