How does it work when you turn 18 and switch from pediatrician to family doctor?

I'm suffering from asthma and need my spray. I want to call as soon as possible tomorrow. Do I need to make an appointment? Can someone explain this to me?

If time is short, you can also get a prescription with your pediatrician. And still make an appointment with the doctor.

Phone in hand, call a family doctor and ask for an appointment.
