I don't know if it's worth it to hire a tax advisor. Without special expenses and working from home, I don't have much data to gather. But I think I could get more out of it with professional help. Do you have any recommendations?

In simple cases, a tax advisor is not worth it, which is more in demand in more complex matters (different income, self-employment, special burdens, etc.). Or if you are too lazy/overwhelmed.
The fact that you get more out with professional help in a simple simple case without special features is not said, at least not if you still count the costs of the consultant.
The very best time (as an employee) I make it myself and also earlier via ELSTER and now via WISO (…what brought a lot of things again) since it is actually – once a year ago initial stacked – only little rework annually: usually under 30 minutes a year for a 4-digit repayment – you are welcome to take it with you.
At a time when, in addition to the employee relationship, I still had a self-employment with more complicated tax-rooting (payments from Google Ireland), I made it through a tax advisor.
This has cost ~1k€ p.a., but most of all it has swept back right: not least thanks to errors of the tax office in my favor due to the complicated construct – according to the consultant carried out cleanly by it, but misinterpreted in the worst of the Fiskus of the same.
To date, through my tax advisor due to the extent and complexity (ESt, VAT, weight, accounting, KSt statement, UStVA, ELStAM and last year the basic tax statement for all my objects).
Tax relief association (if no income is available), otherwise tax advisors.
Both of course entail costs.
Tax advisors or wage tax support associations.
But all the money.
As a normal worker without complicated assets or depreciation, I would do it myself.
Look at the compilation WISO has calculated for you and not as a guide to your tax registration next year. You have to register with ELSTER, but it doesn’t cost anything.
I’ll let my tax advisor do it.
Trust offices are looking for them.

“Treuhand” is also common in Germany.
There are 95% Germans on the way. A Swiss should not give these advice in their tax law.
