If you are a beginner, it makes sense to create synthesizers with software.

I’m doing this with Linux as an operating system, but that’s exactly how to go with a WIndows PC or Macintosh.

My system is based on JACK as an audio interface, I use Carla for compiling various synthesizers, MusE as a sequencer. I don’t know if there’s MusE for Windows. However, there are other comparable programmes.

What are you gonna do? Build one yourself? Forget it, for the money you end up in parts, you can also buy a finished 10x so much.
