How do I insert a table of contents using images in Google Docs?
Hello everyone, unfortunately I can't make any progress with Google Docs.
I would like to include a table of contents that is about three pages long.
The problem is that on page 2, the background image keeps disappearing whenever I insert the table of contents. If I paste the image onto another page and then drag it onto the page with the table of contents and the white background, a message pops up from Google Docs saying I need to undo the last action. I think the solution would be to merge the three pages so that when I press Enter, I can continue writing on the next page without the image disappearing. Unfortunately, I don't know if that's possible, and if so, how.
I would be very happy to receive a solution, thank you in advance!
To insert a table of contents on images in Google Docs, you could do as follows: First, make sure that the background image remains visible on all sides. This can be achieved by inserting the image as a background instead of placing it manually on each page.
To insert the table of contents on images, you could merge the pages by highlighting the content of the three pages and then link the pages with a click on “Create”. This prevents the image from disappearing when you press Enter to write on the next page.
It is important to note that inserting a table of contents via images in Google Docs can sometimes lead to formatting problems. In such cases, it might be helpful to create the table of contents as a separate file and then insert it as an image into the document.
I hope these tips will help you solve your problem.
