How do I get to know skaters?

I love skating and hate it, but I hate skating alone. I've been skating since I was 10, but no matter where I've never met any really motivated skaters. I've had some who go every now and then, but I could have skated all through the holidays and have only gone once because nobody wanted to;( And being alone is boring. A lot of the fun is spending time with others. Anyway, I'm 17 now and I still know someone who's into skating. Can you give me tips on how and where to find people who also skate.

Isn’t there a skateboard with you? – Because there you would surely meet other skaters!
Well, just go to your local park/spot.
If the weather is good, sooner or later, people will show up the skates. I’m not doing it any other way.
Hey, look at social media, you’ll find something. Google might also help you. But if you’re visiting a skater’s place, you’d have to be there to close acquaintances, right?
