Hello!
I bought a vest from Happy Size a year ago, and somehow I can't get rid of that annoying waterproofing smell. It always reminds me of cress, and no matter how often you wash the vest, it always stinks. It's 100% cotton and clearly made in China.
Does anyone have an idea?

Wash the vest separately and instead of detergent gives one or two schnapps glasses vinegar with in the laundry.
Vinegar neutralizes smells. If the garment smells after washing to vinegar it is easy to ventilate (the vinegar flies again). It is also good for the washing machine (decaling etc…).

Tryed it and even took 3 espresso glasses. No improvement. Get happy size and see what they mean. It’s really bad with these chemical Chinese.
Okay, that’s hard. Such vinegar solutions even create the old blankets from our dog to get neutral smell… 🙁

hang a few days outside to the fresh air, otherwise dispose of – who knows what harmful substances it contains.
