How do I get out of WatchOS 11 beta?

Hello ThriveAnswers team!

I have an Apple Watch SE 2 with the beta update WatchOS 11, the problem is: I bought a new iPhone yesterday (iPhone 15 if that helps) but it has IOS 17 on it and I don't want to upgrade to IOS 18 beta now.

How do I get rid of the beta software on the watch?

Info: you can't connect this watch with WatchOS 11 to IOS 17!

Thanks for all answers

best regards

Good evening

Yes, it is possible to get out of the WatchOS Beta program and return to the stable version of WatchOS. Here's how you can do this:

1. Remove beta profile:

– Use iPhone: Open the “Watch” app on your iPhone.

– Delete profile: Go to General > Profiles & Device Management and select the WatchOS Beta profile. Tap Remove Profile and confirm the action.

Two. Wait for the next stable update:

– After removing the beta profile, you won't get any further beta updates. You need to wait for the next stable WatchOS update to reset your Apple Watch to the stable version. Once an update is available, you can install it on your iPhone using the Watch app.

3. Downgrade (optional but difficult):

– A direct downgrade to an older stable version of WatchOS is not possible, unlike iOS. If you want to return to the stable version immediately, you may need to bring your Apple Watch to an Apple Service Center to restore it.

Important:

– Backups: Make sure you have a backup of your Apple Watch before you make changes to avoid data loss.

– Waiting time: It may take a certain time until a new stable update is available, so patience is required when you get out of the beta program.

If you need further support or have difficulty, contact Apple Support.

I hope this answer will help you.

Do you have any Apple Watch warranty or Apple Care+?

Then it should be for free, just go to an Apple Store and show it to them. It's easier to judge the situation from a distance. ; I can't guarantee you no costs will be incurred. I hope I could help you and wish you all the best!
