How do I get blood stains out of light gray shoes?

Not what you think… I went swimming at the beach on vacation and injured my foot. Unfortunately, when I noticed it was bleeding heavily, I was already wearing my light gray sneakers.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to have my shoes cleaned at my vacation destination, so the blood has now dried. I scrubbed the shoes with soap and detergent at home and soaked them in water, but it still won't come out.

Can anyone give me a tip?

I found this on the Internet when I entered “Remove Blood Stains”:

Add lemon juice to the dried blood stain, let it act for half an hour, rinse it out and wash as usual. Natron or baking powder are a good choice in light fabrics. Place sodium or baking powder on the stain, let the agent act overnight and then wash it well

Never wash with warm water! soften it in cold water and wash it only then.
