  1. Open the Finder window and select the drive of the USB stick.
  2. Open the drive and select “Information”.
  3. Open the Erase tab
  4. In the Format-Dropdown menu, select the desired format (e.g. “Mac OS Extended (Journaled)”)
  5. Enter a name for the drive if desired.
  6. Now you can “delete” the drive.
