How do I fix the error message “Ethernet does not have a valid IP configuration”?
I restarted my PC and can see that I no longer have internet. I ran the troubleshooting and got the message "ethernet does not have a valid IP configuration". The PC recognizes that it is connected to something but not to the network. I have tried the usual methods and restarted the PC and router. Restarting the router by plugging and unplugging the power cable works, but only if the PC is turned on at the same time. As soon as I shut down and restart the PC, the internet disappears again and I don't want to unplug and plug in the router's power cable every time I start it up. No valid IP configuration means that DHCP is not assigning the PC the correct IP address or is not giving one at all. I have already tried to get the DNS server address and IP address (IPV4) automatically in the network adapter properties, but to no avail. I would be happy to hear any ideas that could help me.

Hm. This could be a setting error on the DHCP server. An IP is assigned. What network mask is assigned and the default gateway in the DHCP has the 192.168.178.1?

This usually means that the PC is connected to the network, but not to a DHCP server!
A DHCP server assigns its addresses to the other devices in the network.
For example, if you have a repeater or powerline or a switch between PC and router. Then this can mean that the PC is connected to the repeater, but the repeater is not connected to the router. That was just an example.
I looked at this. Some days ago we got Solarpenals installed and the Wechslstromrichtwr or something is also connected via LAN cable. However, this cable goes into a repeater. Could that be the problem? That the DHCP gives the same IP to my PC and the AC converter?
