How do I create a website or platform where people can buy, rent and sell properties?

I'm not really a web developer, but I think I could do it, since I'm a logician, etc., and I find IT pretty easy.

I just need information and sources on where and how to do this. Are there tutorials on how to create a platform website, or do I ultimately have to hire someone to create a professional homepage?

Can a layperson build a good homepage?

If not, how much does it cost to have one done?

I believe that a static website that can easily be built with a provider like Jimdo, Wix… would be best suited for your concern.

If you really want to build your own platform for this, you have to pay over €15,000, which are several weeks of work with multiple developers if you want to do it right.

If you really want to do it yourself and do not have any experience in the field of development: let it, especially in things like payment system, customer data is data security and data protection enormously important, because you do not want to have any vulnerabilities.

If you really want to try it, you need to first learn in a language that can develop some kind of frontend, e.g. an app (Swift, Kotlin, Java, …) or websites (HTML + CSS + JavaScript). Then, of course, you need a backend, here you would need knowledge in JavaScript, Java, C#, PHP, Go, Rust or python. In addition, you have to somehow save the data of users, so you still need SQL or NoSQL database.

As you can see, it’s pretty much…

There are modular systems for websites with which you get 0815 quite easy but with your desire you will not get around the database around it and that must be customized.

Data protection is also such a topic when people are to be involved not only with contacts (the topic of password and login) but also with a payment service provider via the platform.

You dramatically underestimate the effort you need and the skills you need. Making a small static homepage for Opa is not terribly complicated and expensive. A home page with standard features such as integrated blog or comment function goes thanks to modular systems that take off the work. But putting on a platform for such a special purpose requires a lot of know-how and work. In addition, there are several very popular platforms for real estate business, another such platform that nobody knows at the beginning, it will be very difficult to grasp foot.

What do you bring about skills to run this business? I don’t want to get too close to you, but your question shows that you don’t have much idea from the technical side. So why should you be successful and not someone with appropriate technical knowledge?

Yeah, well, if it’s just a few houses that are marketed by a single provider (one mother), it doesn’t need a platform with user management and various interactive snapshots! There is actually a static website where the houses are presented and a contact dress for interested parties is deposited. This can be implemented wonderfully with WordPress and is not terribly complex.

Well, if someone asks me “How do I build a nuclear reactor?”; then I would like to point out that this is a very difficult task before I find out literature on nuclear physics and reactor technology.

This is certainly a help, then I would suggest you use your damn high IQ to get the necessary information through research. Good luck!

Sure you can teach you everything, take a few years with you best.

@Platform programming: >10.000€ at such a thing, up no limit.
