I created a website using WordPress and am having a problem with my domain name in the title, ending with .de. I've already gone through the settings in WordPress and Yoast SEO and can't find a solution.
As an example, I have Facebook here, as it should be visually correct.
The title is simply Facebook WITHOUT the .com and below it is the domain name.

By the way, would recommend switching from Yoast to RankMath. I personally find it much easier to handle and better designed. Otherwise, read in On Page SEO, in this case especially Meta Tags one. They are responsible for how your page is displayed in the Google search.

You can change the name of your website in the Customizer, so it is then entered by default by a search engine. A more accurate specification or even a completely different title can be created using plugins, for example YoastSEO.
With this plugin, this goes via: Yoast > Settings > Pages > View in search. In addition, the Yoast add-in can also be used for individual contributions at the lower or right edge of the screen.
These changes are, of course, not immediately visible. Each search engine crawls pages and stores them in a cache; So until corresponding changes also affect a search result, it can take several days to weeks.

Go to your WordPress under Settings > General and make sure that not .de is at title, then check again in Yoast what you have entered there.
Also the homepage under pages or Check posts themselves.
After that it is waiting for Google to take this (maybe weeks are months depending on the size of your website). Also make sure you get some internal and external links without .de in the link text.
If Google does not take this after a few weeks, then Google has decided that .de is better.
Attention: depending on how you are looking for your page in Google, the one other spelling of the name can be displayed. This changes Google more often dynamically.
Personal opinion: This doesn’t matter much (maybe only looks more beautiful for you), keep working on your side, improve existing content, then it will be done by itself.
