How do I cancel Deutsche Glasfaser?
Hello, I was talked into getting a connection from Deutsche Glasfaser a year and a half ago. Since the performance is abysmal and I don't see any point in getting my internet any other way than via cable or DSL, I want to get rid of DGF. Oh dear! There's no "Cancel Connection" button in the app or on the website (contrary to legal requirements). Google only spits out dubious "advice" pages.
Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks!
PS: If anyone is considering switching to GF, think carefully! Do you really need 12 million bit speed? I had cable before, and it was fine. Of course, it might be different in other regions.

Oh, yes, if we could cancel the contract! Bad company with absolutely incapable employees in the technical department! Very friendly first contacts, which are unfortunately only responsible for conducting the request…. after 2 months, you have no Internet! External companies, which should then look at the problem on site, do not come first….DG First contact of the service Hotline then forwards the complaint friendlyly….
If you want to quit, do it best: just write to the support email. If you don’t find any, take those from the imprint. And if nix goes, then stop by typing – especially when they cross with the confirmation. Sometimes it goes directly on site with their service partners (or what they call it) or by phone – but this can be really annoying and time-consuming (“Do you not want to stay blah?”, “No”, “But…”, “No”). Important: Always request a confirmation of termination with the exact end of the contract so that it is clear what you’re talking about – not that they suddenly think you quit later.

Wouldn’t it be easier to find the mistake? GF cannot be at all physically grottenschlecht. Either the full performance is there or nothing. There isn’t. In the past, DGF has had problems due to an undersized backbone connection to the headquarters, but that would be only a time-limited problem if any online is. With you, it sounds more like a lasting problem.
Question 1 would be with me then: Where is the router and how many bars WLAN reception has your device where it does not work. I ask because I was allowed to search the router in the cellar with dozens of customers, because it is not understood that WLAN has difficulty coming through the 20cm reinforced concrete ceiling and is wondering why the glass fiber internet works so badly in the attic.
