How do I block video ads on websites?
Probably the stupidest kind of advertising, and if you're unlucky, it even has sound. Advertising is a given these days (thanks, capitalism). But now the ads that load as videos and the pages that start a video immediately upon visiting are really getting on my nerves. Is there a way to block only this kind of thing? The operating system is Android 15.
I use myself Brave. There is not only a little more data protection and yet a good speed, but also an AdBlocker at work. It’s really good. I don’t see any advertising anymore and no disturbing cookie banners.
I’m in a position to block. In the Android app: The three points below right, then Settings, there on Brave Protection and Privacy and then block with Tracker & Advertising aggressive change.
Can you still use websites and apps normally without the problem that the page is licking around because of the advertising blocker? Personally, only this annoying video advertising interferes, the rest is no matter
I have additionally installed Firefox, in case a website is broken by the blocker. It happens to me every few months (if any) times that a website is broken. But of course, it is not possible to prevent this, with no blocker
