How difficult is applied statistics and probability as a minor?
Is it as difficult as math or physics? Or is it more doable?

Hello, I have to decide by tomorrow whether I'll study cybersecurity. (I've only been accepted there.) However, I have zero prior computer science knowledge, although I was always the best in math. I either go in without prior knowledge and try it out, or I wait a semester and study something else in April. What…
Hello, we are currently learning about databases (SQL) in computer science and my task is the following: List the names of all actors who have exactly one more Oscar nomination than Oscar awards, but who have also been nominated at least twice. There is a table called Actor and columns called: ID number, Name, Oscar…
Will it be noticed if you lie in a job interview?
Due to the shortage of staff, many companies are currently seeking career changers in all sorts of fields for retraining. Retraining often requires a completed apprenticeship, but no specific specialization is required. If, for example, a company is looking for a technician and requires an electrician, mechatronics engineer, or similar qualifications relevant to the profession,…
Hello first of all, For computer science, I have to create an apple tree in Java (online IDE) where the apples are to be randomly generated, up to 5 of them (should be kept very simple) and I have no idea how. It would be nice if there was a quick answer.
I attended a lecture on machine learning. I suspect there's some overlap, at least regarding likelihood functions (maximum likelihood estimation (MLE), Bayes, etc.). While it's doable, I personally find it a difficult topic. Compared to math and physics, I have no idea how to assess the level. But it always depends on the individual course.
Very difficult for me in any case, since I have no practical connection
We have modules like Statistical Modeling, Likelihood Inference, and Generalized Regression. What do you mean by that?
Regression tells me something, it's actually just a formula that has to be applied
It's math, too. It won't be easy.

Mathematics is generally challenging; there are no truly easy topics. But with hard work, it's certainly doable.
You shouldn't underestimate it, and theory doesn't necessarily have to be harder. There are people who prefer theory.
Yes, it certainly won't be easy, but it can't be as difficult as a normal math module, can it? It also teaches practical skills, so I think it will be more pragmatic and not just completely theory-heavy.
