How can WWM be profitable for RTL?
The candidates usually win at least €300,000 together, often more + the presenter's fee + the studio + the cameramen + sound engineers + studio technicians and probably many more
Do the advertising and the few tickets bring in that much money? On other shows, there might be €100,000 to win after 10 episodes, and on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, there's often even more to win each week.
I think you're well off with the assessment… first, not everyone wins such a high sum, and secondly, if the profit amounts get higher, then the profit round also takes longer accordingly! That means that there are fewer people in the show.
You can neglect the tickets, they don't matter! If only then they cost something so that people really come, they would be free then someone might say "I don't care, then I'd rather go to the hairdresser, didn't cost anything anyway" and in the studio the places would be empty. So rather a kind of "protection fee"
But, of course, the advertising plays a big role and it is earned quite properly!
Recree sometimes with a "1000 price" (TKP) of about 20€, so in order to reach 1000 people a promotional customer must be approx. 20€.
For example, if the show is switched on by 800,000 people, then a single commercial costs €16,000. For example, if you have 20 spots in a promotional block, that's 320,000€ if 4 advertising blocks are in the show, it's up to 1.28 million euros… There are also special advertising forms such as "This show will be presented to them by" which costs a good extra charge again
Any questions?
Thank you, this is a really good summary, I wouldn't have thought that there is so much money flowing
This is even very cheap. See how many advertisements are there. And with the spectator's quiz, it's gonna make some money.
Turning a movie like the crime scene costs much more money.
Does that mean where you can win $10,000? And because of the crime scene, it is not designed for profit either because it is running at Ard
That was just an example with the crime scene.
What do you think you're getting cashed on phone charges alone? RTL gets 40% commission.
