How can I save my files in jEdit?

Hey guys, I have another programming question. As I said, I'm a complete beginner and installed jEdit and Java on my Mac today. Everything seemed to be going quite well.

However, when I work on this assignment from university, this is what comes up when I save it:

I'm supposed to create a file called PRuebungen and a subfile called u01. I would really appreciate your help.

New:

Turning off the dual storage, or whatever the feature is called, worked. However, I still can't save any data. Does anyone know why this is happening?

According to the user’s manual, this “two-day” method is a security mechanism that can’t work. It is recommended to switch off this function in the settings under “Utilities > Options > General” for problems: http://www.jedit.org/users-guide/saving.html

I’ve never heard of this editor before. If there are other problems, I would recommend development environments such as IntelliJ IDEA (community edition) or Eclipse.

I didn’t install the editor. This is now retrieved and I found the option hidden something; now as a picture in my answer.

As I said, I can’t say anything about the editor. If there are problems and the possibility exists, I would strongly encourage you to switch to one of the more common editors (some previously mentioned).

Ah. It’s a problem with the computer itself.

You do not have the necessary rights to write in the folder “Puebungen”! This probably also prevented the “two-day save”.

This might be due to the fact that it is not in your user folder, or, if this has been set up, on a server on which you cannot write.

I do not know what is the case with the information given.

First of all, I would try to reinstall the folder for the project in your user folder.
