How can I merge two files in Word?

I have a resume and would like to combine it with my letter. How do I do this?

Copy text from one word file to the other. In the file from the letter at the end of the text insert the text from the resume

It works best if you convert both files to a PDF file. Pdf24 is quite helpful.
