How can I make the taskbar work again?

Here in my Task Manager, the Service Host Diagnostic Policy Service is crashing. And I suspect it might be the reason why my taskbar is no longer usable. I've restarted my PC, but that didn't help. Should I just end this task?

Restart your PC and try to restart the Servicehost task. Otherwise try to kill the Explorer task.

You may need to do this in the terminal

 taskkill /im explorer.exe -f

This should stop the Explorer task (/in the name of the task, -f to force it to finish)

After that you simply enter explorer.exe in the terminal to start the task again. If you cannot access the command prompt, you must start the Explorer via the task manager (ctrl + shift + esc).
