How can I install a CPU fan in my laptop?

Hello, I have an HP Elitebook 840 G3 laptop and want to get a new processor. Since I've heard it can overheat, I wanted to order a CPU fan for it. Unfortunately, I don't know where the fan should go or whether it needs to be mounted on my CPU or something else. I'd appreciate a reply.

and wants to get me a processor

I doubt that you should get it to solder a new CPU to your laptop if you don’t even know that.

And if you want a better fan, you don’t just buy a replication of amazon but model and do it yourself.

There should be

Otherwise, you can install it just as you have developed the fan

but I don’t know where it belongs to the CPU fan

Where the cooling disks are in front of the housing outlet. And the connection is directly next to the slimline fans.

because you don’t find anything on the Internet about how to build a

Sorry, but “hp elitebook 840 g3 fan replacement” gives you several videos where the change of fan of this device model is described.

And I know how to install a CPU

Fine. Then take 1356 ball-grid points to get your processor out of the device. And then you solder as many points to the new processor. The CPU is not shocked!
The problem will be to get a BGA-1356 processor naked.
And then the question arises whether a Gen.6 processor is still worth this work today.

As I said, I doubt. You need years of experience in brazing (+ microscope, corresponding brazed things, etc) to braz something like this on a PC and back to it, in a CPU whose lot is extra thermal resistant it will only be difficult

I’ve written you exactly why what you’re planning is not going to work as well as sent to the official documentation on the left, where you could see exactly that. You ignored both. If you don’t want you to help, you won’t help.

Your best approach would be either the Rossmangroup forum or, as I said, your own initiative and try a lot.

Problem is that I don’t have

If you are now hoping that you can just buy an old laptop where you can just change the CPU, you can bend it as the CPU has died and is not as easy as normal PCs. And because of the size of the laptop, you won’t get a better fan in the PC than the one that’s already inside.

I’ve already sent you the documentation where you should stand, how to install the fan.

Actually. The CPU change becomes difficult.
