How can I copy app data (e.g. to my PC)?

Help! I wanted to copy app data from my phone to my PC, but the folders seem to be write-protected, and it just won't work. I also checked the properties, but there's no way to change the write protection or anything like that because it's so gray.

I also tried to copy folders or just one file individually, it either didn't work again, or the file was simply 0 bytes in size (so it didn't work either).

If you can expand the memory of your mobile phone with an SD card, it might be possible to outsource the data to the card.
If this is the case, see in the app whether you can change the path for data storage. Thus, data is no longer stored in the device memory and space is free. Or if your phone is using it, move the whole app to the SD card.

If you only have the internal memory available, see if the app has an export function and you can backup the data in a backup file into a self-selectable folder. Then you can copy the backup to the PC and replay it if necessary.

Perhaps there is also the possibility to secure the data in a cloud.

I don’t know any other solution. When playing, you can at least connect via Facebook to play on multiple devices. Then the data is stored on a server and are not lost at least. If your phone only has the internal memory and you want to keep this particular app, you can only create space by uninstalling other apps. I have a similar problem on an older tablet. I want to keep an app, but the data cannot be outsourced. This is basically not a problem, but with updates the storage space is sometimes not enough. Often it helps to delete the cache of installed apps to get a little more storage in the short term.
