How bad is a tooth extraction while conscious?

Hey, I'm about to go in for my appointment for a tooth extraction and let me put it this way: I'm worried because I don't know what to expect.

The doctor: It doesn't hurt.

That didn't exactly calm me down hahaha

The worst part: I actually didn't want to be there, so I had to get anesthesia. Unfortunately, my health insurance company has a slightly different take on this matter.

Maybe someone has already had experience with this.

Hello Calvin,

If your dentist can inject and grip the tooth well, that's not a problem. Of course you hear an unfamiliar crack and then blood flows, but it doesn't hurt.

It's just important that you take the pain pills as the doctor said. You shouldn't wait until you feel the pain. And lots of sleep.

Good luck!

As long as there is no thick inflammation and your dentist is competent, you should not have any pain. After the local anesthesia, nothing was noticed, just joking and pressing, but that usually doesn't hurt.
It's really half as bad as I had.

Take headphones, that helps if you bother. Does my girlfriend always do that?

Mhh… so if you perceive the pain as a superordinate, “You” and that I do not reflect in it, you can ride with the pain.

I really mean it. But maybe I can't convince you. That's the game 😅
