How are features created?
Hi,
How do collaborations and features come about in the music industry? Do musicians write to each other, or does the record label write?
For example: "lovely" by Billie Eilish and Khalid. How did that come about? Who contacted whom and how?

There can be a variety of reasons. Maybe the artists met somewhere and found themselves sympathetic. Often, however, features are simply asked about the management.
Most artists know each other personally and contacts are no problem about the labels anyway. You just talk!
