Pants losing color?
Hi, I recently bought a pair of LFDY sweat shorts. The pants are made of 70 cotton 30 polyester. I washed the pants once and everything was fine. On vacation a stain got on the pants, either from grease or lemon. I took a cloth and soap and tried to get the stain out, which only worked easily. Afterwards there was paint stuck to the towel. There are now two places on the pants where the fabric is pale or slightly white. At first I thought it was soap residue, but after the second wash it was still like that. It's hardly noticeable, but it's annoying that it happened. I'm wondering how something like that can happen and what can be done about it.
can be that the color has been removed from the fabric by the lemon
that can no longer be undone
I think it was more fat
I guess the stain had hit the pants through the lemon.
And pure lemon can already attack the color. There’s no more to do.
Hm ok can also be that it was a fat spot by roast potatoes
That the color can be bleached by fat is new to me. You had written in the question that it was fat or lemon. I still think the lemon was it. Was the pants still unwashed?
As already written, you can’t change anything. It’s annoying, but I’m sorry. Only a hint for the future: with such intense colors (also with black and dark blue or red) 1 or 2 cloths “color and dirt collectors” should be given for washing. They take up the superfluous color that “bleeds” in new textiles during the washing process, that is called it.
I’ve been washing
This is normal and likes to happen if you work unintentionally spots. It’s a little bit of a stain soap. Can’t be done anymore…
I’ve made other clothes clean already at least 100x and nothing has ever happened
Yeah, very different, I know that too. You have to be careful…
