Hormone ring damaged?

Good evening,

I'm currently using the Ginoring from Exceltis and recently felt a notch at the weld point. Now I'm wondering if that counts as damage and whether the release of hormones could be affected.

I would assume that the ring works quite normally. A notch is not damaged.
