Holiday in a mini-job at a supermarket?

Hello, I am a student and 16 years old and am now starting a student job/mini job at the Lidl supermarket stocking shelves.

My question is, what's the situation with vacation? As a student, you're often away, on vacation, etc. Is there even paid vacation, or do you just say you're not there, don't do any work, and then simply don't get paid?

Thank you very much and hopefully someone can explain this to me clearly.

Also in the mini-job you have a legal claim to a minimum of 4 weeks paid holiday a year.

… or just if you're not there, don't do any work and then just get no salary?

You have to apply for a holiday before and it must have been approved first. You can't just stay away.

You also have holiday entitlement, but not as long as school holidays
