Hold the fuse in case of a short circuit?

If the fuse blows, you can usually just flip it (the switch) back on and the power will be back on.

What happens if, for example, you short-circuit a socket while holding the fuse in the "current flow" position? Does the current continue to flow, or is there another device?

Yes, there’s the “free release”. The fuse also switches off when you try to hold it by hand.

The fuse also releases when the lever is fixed at the top. You have to tilt the lever down and then you can turn on the fuse again.

This is an additional security measure so that no one can simply bridge the fuse.

Don’t block bridges, that’s different.

the fuse turns off internally no matter how the lever stands
