Hired as an office clerk without experience?
I have just received an offer to work as an office clerk for a small technology company.
- Order processing, recording incoming and outgoing invoices
- Taking on ad-hoc tasks in daily business (appointment coordination, telephone service, parcel shipping, reception, etc.)
- General master data maintenance
- Participation in special projects and process optimizations
- Support in general purchasing and customer service
I have previously worked for a month as a commercial assistant, where I did filing and delivery notes with SAP.
I'm worried that this might be a crappy company. Why else would they hire someone without training?
Do you think my concerns are justified? Are these tasks possible without training?
Transversal beginners are cheaper from the salary. You’ll learn everything you’ve listed when you’re in. Go positively to the new work.
Maybe they didn’t find anyone else. But you were there for the interview? How was your impression?
Because you’re cheap. And in everything you’ve listed, you can easily learn in a few months. And if you don’t, you’ll be cut off.
There are various reasons for this:
I think this place has to be quickly occupied. Just worrying not to be grown. It sounded like I’m going to handle everything completely solo, as the remaining employees are in production
Look at it, try it! It’s a great opportunity for you. But also speak openly about your fears and if it becomes too much for you.
The most important thing in such a place is that you are well organising and structuring to the tasks from the beginning.
You can do this!
if that’s true, I’d be so happy
Don’t ask yourself – happy and give you trouble!!!!
Something you liked them, don’t ruin it!
