Hire a freight forwarder?

Hi, I'd like to have two car seats and a back seat transported approximately 400km. Do any of you have experience with companies that can do this, or even know of any? I just got a quote for €450. I thought that was a bit excessive.

I appreciate any help…

Why did you find the offer exaggerated?

We only set the fuel costs with neglect of wear, insurance, if necessary Credit rates, we are 800 km * 7 L/100 km * €1.60 so €90 for the fuel. Now the car has to drive. At 90 km/h average speed, we need a type for 9 h working time. It must comply with the statutory steering times. If we only assume that we pay the minimum wage, then we will pay €108. So alone €200 at direct costs for the freight forwarder.

With wear, payload, overhead and a little profit, this is a fair offer for a single transport of 400 km.

The bill would be understandable for a special trip. Frequently, however, a shipment will only rarely travel from a to b. That's where it goes.

Yeah, that's why I mentioned it for a single transport.

Costs according to the dimensions and weight, but 450€ comes a lot to me.
