The cat's hind legs are slipping, how can I help?
Our 7-year-old cat's hind legs keep slipping (they're almost paralyzed), and we've already been to the vet. It's probably from falling down the stairs. We need some advice because there's not much online except for devices with wheels for support, but our cat wouldn't like that. She'd freak out if she had to wear shoes or a support with wheels.
We've already been to the vet. We've tried a back brace for small dogs, but it doesn't work.
She's losing her balance, and when she needs to go to the bathroom, she poops on the floor while walking or right in front of the toilet. Perhaps someone here has had a similar experience with their pet and can offer us advice.
She's otherwise fine, "only" her hind legs slip when she runs because she has no support. :/
That’s what acquainted had after he fell down the window. He was able to only grind his abdomen and lost urine and faeces through the “welling”. Unfortunately, he was not treated, he grounded all the wound down.
It goes without saying that the support devices on wheels are uninhabited for the animal for the first time, because it does not understand why the thing is now hanging on it, it has to get used to it for the first time. It is also important that the animal best no longer uses the stairs so that it does not fall again.
Please contact your TA again and consider what would best help now.
Just try it with the “roll chair”. And have a lot of patience. Of course, the cat won’t be happy, as I said, it’s a big change for them, and even if it’s really hard to start with, you have to stay there. Possibly, you will also first share a dichered area and put it in a seperates room where it can get used to the device.
Our cat generally doesn’t like it at all if she has something on her own. She never liked a collar or something, but our cat has nothing to do with. She wouldn’t get used to it because she just can’t suffer zero if she had something like that on the body.
