Help, what's wrong with me? Is it really asthma?

Hello dear community,

In February 2019, when I was 19 years old and still completely healthy, I was out one morning and couldn't breathe. I was hospitalized and had a panic attack. My oxygen levels were excellent, and all my other vital signs were also great.

I was discharged with a mask to breathe in case of panic. From that day on, I struggled with this condition for quite some time; no one could find anything, so I was diagnosed with asthma. Barely any tests were done apart from a chest x-ray. On top of that, I have a lot of mucus in my throat all year round; I could spit it up all day long… it's really restricting me. Afterwards, I often find it so hard to breathe and have this horrible feeling, like I'm suffocating or dying. I'm coping well with it now, but I've also been to the emergency room because I really could hardly breathe, even though my oxygen saturation is always great.

I haven't smoked since then
What else I can mention:
I broke my nose as a child and it couldn't be operated on, so the corridors are quite narrow.

Two days before the seizure, I was smoking crystal meth and choked while taking a drag. I can't imagine that could have caused anything, but anyway, I want you to know everything. On the day it happened, I also smoked a cigarette or two, just like I always did before.

Maybe someone has an idea?

Thank you in advance & best regards

Do you take any medicines to you?

X-rays of the lungs are not adequate diagnostics for asthma.

I’d go to the Pneumologen again and let it be detailed.

Please introduce yourself to a pneumologist for further diagnostics, such as a lung function test using spirometry.

Go to a pneumology and let you investigate…

If they notice asthma will certainly help you with medication.

In any case, a doctor is a very good option, no question of good question if you have such problems and thought you would die more often.
