Help! Diagnosed with periodontal disease, what now?

Hello everyone,

I recently went to the dentist because of three white spots on my gums. The doctor diagnosed me with periodontal disease. I'll have a professional cleaning soon, and then they'll determine if it can be treated. She didn't comment on the white spots (three spots on my gums). Could it be caused by periodontal disease and the resulting gum inflammation? If it were serious, she would have said something about it, right?

Does anyone know anything about this? Does the treatment hurt?

Whether the treatment hurts, I personally do not know, but I recommend to ask before the treatment for a local painkiller if there is a chance that it hurts, it will provide the doctor most truthfully. With regard to the prospects, ihc can’t be exact saying, but it sounds first as if you get away relatively well.
