Hi, are you having problems with your e-drum?

Hi, I'm having a problem with my hi-hat on the Roland TD-KVX2. The electronic hi-hat consists of the stand, the hi-hat head, and the module for the open/close sounds. The included plate is sitting crooked, even though I tighten the little wheel on the side of the stand. This also causes the module to sit crooked, resulting in irregular open/close sounds – sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. How do I mount the plate securely and level so that everything works reliably?
