In MSI Afterburner I set the temperature limit to 69 degrees, but it still goes up to 73 degrees or more. My graphics card is an NVIDIA Geforce GTX 970 Why is this? Why doesn't the temperature stay at 69 degrees when playing computer games with certain graphics, such as Final Fantasy XIV, ArcheAge, Aion,…
My mother received a newspaper (Computerbild issue 10, from today, 5.5.23) but her name and address were covered over. It had also been sent to someone before, but the name was crossed out in black (you can still read everything if you hold it up to the light). ) Anyway. Why did my mother receive…
Hi, I recently bought a Raspberry Pi to tinker with and am currently looking for a suitable C# library to control the SSD 1306 display. I know there's a Python library, but unfortunately, I don't have much experience with Python.
I had to reset Windows 11. However, this screen appeared shortly afterward. Since then, nothing has worked.
I got a link on Discord from someone called "Aggujarodd" that said Xbox Game Pass was giving me 3 months of Nitro. I just had to scan a QR code, but nothing happened. They just wanted private information, but I didn't give it away. Then I saw that I'd sent the same link to a…
never seen the way to install so linux.
Normally linux is packed on a bootstick, then at restart via f12 the bootstick is selected and then the linux setup should start. if it does not start the bootstick has not been properly created.
everything else is good.
but he is.
as far as I was, can’t choose it
thank you for nothing
but thank you
Ne, he just told you an uncomplicated tip/way that works much more appealing and safer than the “Youtube Tutorial”. What you’re trying to do is absolutely stupid, you’ll never install Linux like that, but you’ll get mistakes for mistakes (like now)
When starting the notebook, try to tap the F12 button (tip, tip, tip, …) and see if the stick appears in the boot menu at all.
Okay.
I got it
Should the BIOS boot menu appear and look like this:
or
if the USB stick does not appear there, it may not be bootable. What instructions was used?
And, does the stick appear in the list of boot options?
But if it’s older the Lappi, then Mint’s not running very fast.

Maybe the problem with Etcher can be solved. What an error was it? Let’s see a screenshot.
Ah yes, thanks for the hint!
Check Advanced to see if there’s something from CSM or UEFI. Again with the arrow keys.
balena echer had a lasting error on the laptop
The FS has set pictures above.
Use to create boot stick better balenaEtcher:
https://www.heise.de/download/product/etcher
and use mint 22:

Please answer any questions. We still do not know whether the USB stick now appears in the boot menu or not.
with the arrow keys:
and confirm with the Enter button. Anything?

If you want to install Linux, you should not go to the Windows bootmenu, but to the device… Press “F12” (multiple consecutive) during the start.
yes but what
I don’t know what’s shown in any videos. If I see anything from Windows on a Linux installation, I’m wrong.
I have a bootable Linux USB stick, have selected in the BIOS that I have first wants to boot and hope to get nothing from Windows.
how do I use the idk
What device is this about? As a rule, you should be able to choose this in the boot menu of the BIOS, not in the Windows menu.
toshiba idk which is exact of my mom so think 10 years has the safe
jup something
What jerric8 says at Toshibas you get to the boot menu with F12.
I don’t care
