How high is the real risk of having a heart attack or heart problems from energy drinks, or is that just scaremongering? And is the risk higher with the brand names than with the cheaper ones? When something happens, you usually hear "Monster" or "Rockstar." I can't remember exactly which brand.

Yes. Energy drinks can actually increase the risk of heart problems, especially in case of excessive consumption or in combination with other risk factors such as caffeine sensitivity, existing heart diseases or simultaneous alcohol consumption 🙈🙈 The risk is independent of the brand.
