Why exactly do you assume that you could get a heart muscle from piercing directly? Are you going straight from a brain tumor when you’re in a headache? Or that your leg has to be amputated when you hit your toe?

That the tongue swells is completely normal. A hole was finally perforated and a foreign body was inserted. That’s why it’s in the first place that you’ve got a poor long rod. Also a rather violent coating and white wound fluid (no eiter) are no reason to worry. Keep in mind the care instructions and listen to the potentially worst possible side effects.

I had my tongue pierced twice last week. If shorter bars are in, everything becomes easier

No

But Pro Tip, can be the result of any viral cold. And much more likely nich in flu, and so likely that you must consider it as a risk absolutely, at Covid.

It’s perfectly normal that the tongue swells after the piercing, that’s no reason to worry.

If the piercing is not at all inflamed, inflammation can not go to the heart either. So that it does not ignite, hopefully you care well and use an antibacterial mouthwash.

It is a normal body reaction that the skin swells in injuries…

The risk of getting heart muscle inflammation through a normal cold is greater… or at least equal
