Heroin body recovery?

I was addicted to heroin for about a month, but now I'm desperate to quit. I always snorted it up through my nose, and now my lungs make strange rattling noises when I breathe, and I have a dry cough that sounds like a smoker who has damaged their lungs. Heroin also burns your nose quite a bit.

Should I be worried that my lungs are already damaged, or can they recover? I'm also on methadone now and don't want to touch heroin again.

If the stuff is particularly dry, some particles can enter the trachea or the upper part of the lung. The problem with opiates is in the case that your central nervous system is stunned and you have no or no cough irritation and foreign bodies, etc. can better be deposited.

And no, i.d.R., your body rebuilds it. Especially if you calm down and leave the stuff away 🙂

If you want to know how your lungs are, find a doctor who can investigate.

Good luck!
