Henne kann nichts sehen/der Kopf hängt hinunter und sie läuft sobald sie aufsteht gegen die Wand?
Hallo,
Ich habe eine Henne die 13 Wochen alt ist. Als ich am Morgen die Hühner ausließ rannte sie noch ganz normal heraus.
Aber als ich eine Stunde später nachschaute lagen im Hühnerstall überall Federn und sie lag in der Ecke. Wir haben sie dann in einen extra Raum getan, aber wir sahen schnell, dass ihr Kopf hinunter gedreht war und sie nicht mehr aufstehen konnte. Auch haben wir bemerkt, dass sie nichts mehr sieht.
Nach ca 3 Tagen konnte sie das erste Mal aufstehen aber sie rannte sehr schnell gegen die Wand. Beim Fressen muss ich sie halten. Wir vermuten, dass sie von einer anderen Henne attackiert wurde, weil die älteren Hennen öfter schon nachgelaufen sind und sie angepickt haben.
Wisst ihr was da passiert sein könnte und was sie für eine Verletzung haben könnte?

Okay. It was just a thought, because I’ve been harmed with my chickens and lost three chickens over the years. Not much of the number, but for me every one too much. But this has an end now, thanks to the net.
Trees don’t hold birds. They even use them as a lookout to spy out a chicken, wait for a reasonable moment and then fall on it. And our last bird victim was persecuted from a sperber to the stables and killed and disassembled there. I got it, so I know it.
But maybe it’s the way you write that the hen was attacked by other chickens. Chickens notice very quickly if one of them is weaker or else only different (e.g. different colors). They then rush on this one and put it down until death.
I would put the hen individually until she recovered and then try to reunite it. The danger exists, however, that the same is repeated.

at the hen lies the greatest part of the brain in the cervical spine. therefore it can move and is not paralyzed.
However, the part that makes a huh no longer works.
