Help! What kind of larva/insect is that in my room?

I haven't been in my shared room for a few days, and now I've found some of these larvae. It's possible they've been in my room for a while, but I haven't noticed anything until now. What's striking is that I've only found them in three places in the room (so far) (under a suitcase, near a sports bag, and on a mattress that's against a wall). I haven't found anything in the closet or anywhere else. They definitely have legs and are quite small (max. 5mm). At first, I thought they were silverfish, but aren't they much too small for that?

I think this is the larvae of a bacon beetle – Images here, Example Pelzkäferlarve

Whether it’s from wool-flowered beetle, common bacon beetle, carpet beetle or another from the clan, it doesn’t matter because:

These larvae feed on textiles, wool fabrics, mattresses, upholstery, feathers, carpets, foods and some more – make them unusable for us.

That’s why you should look for more larvae.

Here targeted:

  • in bed, bed frame, mattress, pillows and blankets
  • on and under carpets, also edges and strips
  • in the wardrobe, also in the edges, corners and ridges
  • on garments, furs and other wool materials
  • Dry food for pets

Wash at least 60° or freeze for a few days.

Soils suck very well, here also the edges and strips do not forget, because these larvae are masters in hiding.

Dispose of infected food outside the house
