Help, cat has feces on its bottom, what can I do?

I have a long-haired tomcat and unfortunately this is not the first time he has had diarrhea. There has been a lump stuck to his bottom for a few hours now but he won't let me touch it. He's had this problem several times and had to have an operation, including an operation on his anal glands. As far as I can see, he's in pain. He just tried to go to the toilet but it didn't work. Afterwards he limped and meowed briefly. I'll go straight to the vet tomorrow morning but he's really scared of it and sometimes they hurt him when they try to remove it. He'll probably have to go under anesthesia again. How can I prepare for tomorrow? To be honest, I can't stand the sight of him being in pain at the vet. What's the best way to prevent something like that? He actually gets good food from Cosma Nature.

Hello you,

As written: Please keep the fur short/shorter at the back. If necessary, have a pet groomer come to your place to take care of it.

Otherwise, the cat needs a change in food, specifically for his illness(es), because I think he could have IBD + food intolerance and/or possibly megacolon or fecal stones.

Anal gland inflammation and constipation don't just happen by chance. There's something seriously wrong with the tomcat's diet.

Therefore, contact a cat nutritionist and create a sensitive diet plan.

These are adequate solutions to save the tomcat pain and unpleasant visits to the vet.

All the best to your cat.

Keep the fur in this area short in the future.

Now please go to the vet. It's not normal for a cat to have constant diarrhea, nor is it normal for the animal to limp after using the toilet.

And you think food is the cause of diarrhea? Then you really need to take a closer look at cat food. It's not just about a good brand name.

Diarrhea can have countless causes, and food is one of them. But a cat can also get diarrhea simply from grass, mice, rats, spoilers, you name it. It sounds like you've changed the food a hundred times to get rid of it, but that's not it. It's something else.

Water and potting soil!

How are water and potting soil supposed to help?

Diarrhea and anal gland abscesses are caused by the diet. It's not just about "high-quality" here, but also about compatibility. I'm not familiar with the potting soil thing either.

Please consult a cat nutritionist.

Do you have people with long hair living at home?
Could be that too.

But if you take good care of him (especially brushing) and feed him well, then I have no idea. It's probably not the filling of the litter box.

Sorry, but it has to be done, don't you think?

Do you live alone?
You could also try to remove the lump with a cloth before it messes things up at home

This sounds to me like IBD and mild constipation.

I hope you go to the vet right now
