Hello e-bikers, do you sometimes ride without assistance?

To all pedelec and S-pedelec riders (please don't reply if you don't have an e-assisted bike). You can also turn off the e-assist on your bike. I'd be interested to know if you sometimes/often ride without this assistance.

You are welcome to write why, how, what kind of e-bike you have and/or whether you have at least tried riding without assistance and how it felt.

Thank you.

That was the reason not to take e-bike, the support stops where I would like to have it gently, in the area above 25km/h what my tempo area is. There's an e-bike, but it's a jelly.

I'm about last year. 700m km straight through Germany.

Had some daily stages of 80 km and, depending on the terrain, I have only approx. 40-50% battery power consumed. With moderate speed and well pumped tires it went very well without or with the slightest support and I was early to have enough power at times if necessary.

Especially when starting the heavy vehicle including baggage was really good. But if it rolls (and does not have too much headwind or pitch), then it rolls.

In the meantime, I have become accustomed to driving a lot with minimal or entirely without support.

Yamaha engine. He probably doesn't completely disconnect, but you don't feel any unpleasant resistance when the support is gone.

Specifically: Raymon E-Tourray Ltd. 1.0

because the support only goes up to 25kmh and I often drive faster. If I'm on my way with the family (also on multi-day bike tours) or just take a quick trip to shopping, I'll leave the battery at home.

without it, it's too heavy. Why am I supposed to feel unnecessary?

only goes if it is. I've done a test for a holiday. but don't look at it.

I didn't say it was pointless, but I don't see anyone in it. Fitness, health and reach are not an argument for me personally, because I don't care about it.

Sense: Fitness, health, longer range.

Don't have to be, but that doesn't mean it's meaningless.

I drive, depending on the back or back Counterwind, estimated 20 to 35 percent of the route without support, as the engine switches off automatically over 25 km/h. I drive about 40 km of bike every day, sometimes up to 150 km. With my normal bike, I wouldn't make it to 25 km/h. There is my average speed of 20 km/h. With the e-bike, I save up to 25 km/h of the engine-assisted acceleration so much power that it is no problem to continue with over 27 km/h up to 35 km/h without support. It also depends of course on the wind conditions and the state of the roads. In my daily route the state of the cycle paths is quite bad. When I get out of my area, the bike paths will be so good that I feel 45% of the track without support, at an average speed of 30 km/h.

Do you have a license plate for your s pedelec? Because s pedelec are usually 45 kmh and not 25kmh you might have a normal pedelec?
