Hello, connect old HDD to new PC?
So I had an old 2TB PC and it's been broken for a year because I had a lot of things on that HDD but I want to connect it to my new PC. I'm also sure that there could be a virus in this old HDD because I downloaded CSGO cheats, but I didn't do anything like that on my new PC. Now to the question: how can I copy important files to my PC without getting a virus? The only important files are old photos and if that doesn't work, what alternatives are there and if I get the photos I still want to use the HDD and format the HDD.
Thanks again for the answer
install a good antivirus software on the new pc, connect the old hdd and let it scan first.
even though windows defender is now as good with the antivirus as the usual programs on the market.
So start scanning and if nothing is found then copy? What kind of scan should it be sniffly scan or scan?
You put the hdd one copying the photos quickly tears them out again and smash them to safety so that the virus can’t spread over the wlan if you do this fast enough nothing will happen computer viruses need an hour to spread.
I want to use hdd as well as you say quickly copy photos and then format hdd correctly and then use it again without getting viruses
sorry then looks bad
Very much worth
There’s a way but it wouldn’t be cheap how much are you worth the photos?
Are there any possibilities?
