They protect the wound from dirt (real dirt, furl, germs,…) that would delay the healing. Because if the body has to fight germs parallel to the healing of the wound, it is more strenuous and lasts longer.

It protects your clothes and environment from your blood.

Otherwise, it’s better for wound healing when air comes to it. Only in certain wounds (e.g. pressure ulcer) is it better to keep the damp, smaller injuries heal better in the fresh air.

Therefore, it is good to start using a plaster and that when the wound is securely closed and no longer bleeds or slightly tears (usually after a few days) to let it end without plaster.

They help to the extent that, in the case of open wounds, not so much dirt comes into the wound and does not ignite so much.

Only at the beginning, because protection against germs (after proper cleaning), dirt and other mechanical stimuli (e.g. tearing of cuts). Wrongly used, however, can also happen the opposite, because under the pavement often a beautifully flaky climate incl. Protection against UV, purification and oxygen for germs prevails.

Basically, they already help with wound healing, they protect the wound from bacteria and infection, thus preventing an infection or even more that the wound healing can pull out. Otherwise it is recommended to let the fresh air heal!

A plaster protects the wound when moisture is amazed, but it is usually not beneficial for healing.

jein. You work with dirt, and this one could come in, and help her.

Actually, they inhibit the healing. The more oxygen comes to the wound, the better.

You can read yourself everywhere. A plaster prevents the air exchange at the wound. If you have a damp wound and the plaster does not change, other germs are happy.
