HDD hard drive uncorrectable sector?

I recently bought the hard drive used on eBay. Unfortunately, I didn't notice that there was one uncorrectable sector and five currently pending sectors (but I was able to fix these using WD software, as shown in the picture). Since I'm new to the drive, there's no data on it yet. I had planned to use it exclusively for gaming storage.

Is the one uncorrectable sector a problem? Would you still use the hard drive for game storage? Is it possible to repair the uncorrectable sector, and if so, how and with which software?

I appreciate any serious response.

As long as the number does not increase constantly, this is not bad – the fault management of the plate ensures that they are no longer used and replaces them against sectors that have been kept in reserve.

If, however, there is a steady increase in the number, this is a sign that the plate is somewhat different from that of the sector. For example, worn bearings, or play in positioning, or non-homogeneous substrate.

chkdsk /? run ?! can’t hurt or? how expensive was the plate because backup with ext. HDD would be recommended anyway 1 Tb costs nix more.

I don’t know what you’ve done with the record – most buyers are just interested in whether they might be able to reconstruct some private porn of the previous owner.

But no matter – I wouldn’t use them anymore.

I wouldn’t use it. Uncorrigible sector is not bad, you can’t fix it.
