Haven't eaten much for a while, how do I get back on track?

Hello! Due to a challenging situation (breakup, etc.), I've barely eaten for about a week, and two weeks ago, I ate very little. [Psychological stress always takes its toll on my body/immune system/appetite/…]

I'd also be interested to know exactly what this does to my body (I know it's not good, but it would be interesting to know what is broken down first and how). I'd also like to know how one could possibly counteract the breakdown reactions (muscles, etc.).

But what I find most important is that I think my stomach has shrunk a bit, and I want to get my body used to regular mealtimes again. What's the best way to do this?
Are there certain foods that might be particularly good/important? I'd like to lose a bit of weight (about 10 kg) in general. Can I take advantage of this right now?

Thank you for all the tips!!!

Start with small portions and eat more often over the day.

Drink plenty of water to stretch the stomach.

If eat hard, especially at regulated intervals, maybe try meal prep. Eat yourself for years only meal prep, as it is healthier when you cook for yourself and you can adapt it to your desire nutrition. Without meal prep, I wouldn’t get my diet under control.

Good luck and with questions about meal prep I like to be open.

So if you eat less and hardly take protein to you, you probably lose muscle first. This consumes most energy and it needs your body in this situation.
So you should feed protein rich and balanced. Not only macronutrients but also micronutrients are important for your body. Eat slowly again normal and climb with the food.
