Have PDFs read aloud with Acrobat Reader?
I have Acrobat Reader for Mac and would like to have text read aloud to me. I've set preferences under File – Preferences – Reading and turn on the speech output feature when needed.
However, I can only click on one line at a time, which is then read out as an incomplete sentence.
Hence the question: How can I change this so that entire paragraphs or pages are read aloud? It doesn't make much sense out of context.
To set the Acrobat Reader on Mac to read entire paragraphs or pages, you need to adjust the settings for the voice output. Go to the Acrobat Reader settings and check the language output options. Possibly there is a setting that allows you to read whole paragraphs or pages instead of single rows.
It might also be helpful to check the language output settings on your Mac. Under “System Settings” -> “Users” -> “Language Output” you can adjust the settings for the voice output and make sure that it is configured to read entire paragraphs or pages.
By adjusting the settings both in the Acrobat Reader and on your Mac, you should be able to read texts in such a way that the content remains reasonable and is not torn out of the context.
