Does my monitor have HDMI 2.1?
Hello, I wanted to ask if my monitor has HDMI 2.1. Because I spoke to Sony Support about why my graphics were so weird and whether it could be something wrong with my PS5 or just a bug in the game. After a long discussion, etc., the friendly Sony employee said it could also be the monitor—"incompatible," so to speak—and that the graphics errors could be from the game or the monitor if it doesn't support 4K and HDMI 2.1. I also explained to him the problem again, that my rendering distance is causing things like lights flickering from a distance, shadows moving from a distance, etc., and then he said of course, yes, that could also be down to your monitor, 2.1 blah blah. My monitor is an Acer nitro qg271 75hz full HD and can only do 1080p, not 4k. My second monitor is a SAMSUNG LC24F390FHR 23.5 inch full HD curved monitor and can only do 60hz. The problem is, I know they can't do 4k, but do they have HDMI 2.1? They are good monitors etc. for me in themselves, but I think I need one that has 4k and HDMI 2.1, but it would be nice if someone could find out for me whether my two monitors have HDMI 2.1.

HDMI 2.1 ist nur nötig, falls du vorhast “4k” mit 120hz zu zocken. Für alles andere reichen auch HDMI 1.4 bzw 2.0
Viele spiele bieten mittlerweile wie auf dem PC Grafikmodi. Vlt war ne Art Performance Modus aktiv, der eher auf mehr fps statt schöne Grafik ausgelegt ist.

Joa aber sony Mitarbeiter meinte es kann daran liegen weil mein Monitor kein 2.1 hat und ps5 ist ja leider anders als wie auf pc :/ aber danke für deine Antwort
Ja Sony Mitarbeiter kennen sich leider mit der Technik nicht wirklich aus. Ich Wette mit dir das locker 50-90% sich nicht extra einen neuen Fernseher gekauft haben, um HDMI 2.1 zu haben. Da scheint entweder ne Spieleinstellung falsch zu sein, oder aber die PS hat vlt doch einen Fehler. (Naja oder das Spiel selbst)
Daran liegt es nicht. Kein Spiel sieht besser aus nur weil ein HDMI 2.1 Anschluss genutzt wird.
Das liegt aber wie gesagt nicht am Anschluss.

Ich hatte vorhin gta gespielt und die render Distanz war kacke und manchmal hat eine kleine texture vom weiten geflackert, bin ich dann dahin gegangen war alles gut, hab gestern mw2 gespielt und die Reflexion waren dort auch ein wenig komisch und bei destiny 2 hat sich eine texture verglitcht usw, ich hatte halt keine Artefakte oder so halt aufm Bildschirm
Jeden spiel anders aber ich hatte kein spiel wo die texturen sich ins unendliche ziehen oder wo Pixel so komisch aufm Bildschirm waren
Hast du diese Grafikfehler nur in einem bestimmten Spiel oder in jedem Spiel?
Naja keine ahnung ich hab die spiele nochmal auf pc usw getestet die hatten genau das selbe problem weil würde meine ps5 ein grafischen fehler haben dann wäre das ja auch im Hauptmenü usw und da ist halt nichts evtl liegt das wirklich daran das ich nur 1080p kann ich hab auch damals nicht drauf geachtet wie krank die Grafik ist usw bis letztens als ich auf game bugs usw gestoßen bin, und eingegeben habe auf google ps5 graphic bug und hab halt leute gesehn die so Pixel usw verzogene texturen usw hatten ich mein ich hatte sowas in der art nicht bei mir sind nur die Schatten komisch usw, und ich glaube hätte ich das Problem mit der ps5 gpu dann wären halt überall Pixel schon usw
