Buspiron is an active ingredient from the class of anxiolytics which has its effect as selective serotonin agonist and dopamine antagonist on the 5HT1A or D2 receptors developed in the central nervous system.

As you say, it has the advantage that it does not depend, but the disadvantage over diazepam is that it is not suitable as an emergency medication because the effect does not occur immediately. Another advantage is that, in contrast to benzodiazepines and other tranquilizers (H1 antihistamines, low-potent neuroleptics, etc.), it does not make tired.

Buspiron has to be taken over several weeks to get an effect. It then acts constant and not only after immediate intake.

Talk to your doctor about it. Diazepam as an emergency medication will not be able to replace it, but as a rule medication it is usually well tolerated and relieves anxiety symptoms effectively.

It is often prescribed as a supplemental medication, that is to say to already prescribed psychopharmacist.

Works very differently individually. I don’t have my own experience.

But you should keep your careful handling of diazepam, so no daily intake.

Good that you’re dealing with diazepam sparingly the danger of addiction is extreme, Buspiron helped me in the beginning unfortunately not because it’s different from man to man it’s worth a try all the good

If you get out of the panic attacks with your emergency drops, I would recommend you not take any more medication. Because you’d have to take it all the time.
